OC Publishing is a hybrid publishing company – a cross between traditional and self-publishing - that supports authors, providing mentoring, editing and publishing services tailored to each author’s needs.
OC Publishing uses a hybrid model known as partner publishing. The author and publisher share the costs of publication and work as partners throughout the process. We coordinate editing and design with industry professionals, and manage all title set up and distribution details. Books are published under OC Publishing.
The genres published are women’s fiction, memoir, mystery / adventure, historical fiction, YA, first chapter books, and children’s picture books.
“OC Publishing has been the most professional, caring, and knowledgeable company you will find. Anne’s skills are top notch along with her integrity. OC Publishing is the perfect fit for me.”
– Cindy Tingley, author, Lily the Donkey’s Adventures series
For new authors who need help in story development, we will review a first chapter or outline, and then give you a road map of where to go from that point on. We can take you from idea to plot line and character development, to a finished manuscript.
“For a first-time author, the whole writing and publishing thing can be daunting. Anne was by my side from my first scribblings right up to my published memoir. She raised my flagging spirits when I was down, proofread my manuscript, gave constructive feedback guiding me all the way through. Anne is an excellent guide and mentor.”
– Padmini B. Sankar, freelance writer and author, The Family from Padma Vilas
If an author prefers to self-publish but needs a bit of guidance, we coach the author through the process, recommend editors and book designers, walk them through the account set up on a publishing platform, and their book is published under their name.
“Working side-by-side with Anne in her coaching capacity is like having a tea party with a dear friend; one who helps solve all your problems! Anne answered all my questions, and made the impossible-seeming self-publishing journey feel not only possible, but supported, important and fun.”
